CAROLINE PEARLMUTTER

Caroline Pearlmutter is an attorney at Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A.  Her diverse background includes military service as a naval officer, tax experience through her work in a low-income tax clinic, and land development for a Fortune 500 homebuilder.  Prior to returning to the Jacksonville area, Carrie practiced law in Connecticut, mainly in the areas of family law and personal injury.  She focuses her practice in the areas of business law, elder law, estate planning, guardianship, probate and trust administration, and tax law.

Carrie graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.  During law school, she earned a certificate in Tax Studies and worked as a law student intern in the school’s Low Income Tax Clinic.  She also volunteered with Best Buddies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Carrie received her bachelor's degree in English from the United States Naval Academy in 2002.  Upon graduation, she served as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy, completing a deployment to the Persian Gulf aboard USS Gettysburg, a guided-missile cruiser stationed in Mayport, Florida.  She was awarded two Navy Achievement Medals, one for her performance as the ship’s training officer and another for successfully leading a junior gunnery team through a multi-national naval surface fire support certification in Europe. After she was honorably discharged from the Navy, and then worked for a Fortune 500 homebuilder in Northeast Florida in land development. 

 Carrie and her husband, David, and son, Jaden, live in Ponte Vedra Beach with their two cocker spaniels.
