Once in a while we get a letter that we have to share. We are so pleased to know we are making a difference to improve the lives of the military families in our community.
Sharon Ellis received the letter below from ADM. Robert Natter (Retired) who was the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet and as the first Commander of U.S. Fleet Forces Command, overseeing all Continental U.S. Navy bases, facilities, and training operations. Dear Sharon, I want to thank you and the generous members of True Blue for your really meaningful work at transforming Naval Station Mayport’s Lake Wonderwood into a truly first class recreational area for our military families and all Naval Station Mayport’s service men and women. Your group’s largesse with your precious time and fundraising efforts are impacting directly and significantly the men and women who man our ships, aircraft squadrons, Depot, repair facilities, and the other military support operations in our fair City. Thank you and God bless all of you. Sincerely, Robert J Natter Admiral, U S Navy Retired
