Secretary Of The Navy Approves  JAX True Blue™    Project To Benefit Recreational  Development  At Naval Station Mayport True    Blue:    Navy    Families    Benefactors,    Inc.

(JAX    True    Blue    TM)    is    proud    to   announce    its    first   major  long-­‐term    project    benefitting    Naval    Station    Mayport    sailors    and    their    families!        This     multi-­‐phased    project,    recently    approved    by    the    Secretary    of    the    Navy,    Mr.    Ray    Mabus,    is    the     Naval  Station    Mayport    Lake    Wonderwood    Preserve    Recreational    Area.            
     
Working  with    the    Mayport    command    and    the    Naval    Station    Mayport    MWR    (Morale    Welfare     and  Recreation)    leadership,    Jax    True    Blue™    will    gift    monies    for    the    development    of    a     recreational  track    consisting    of    pathways    and    bridges    around    the    mile    in    circumference    of     the  lake.    Additional    improvements    will    include    playgrounds,    picnic    areas,    grill    areas,    fitness     stations  and    other    enhancements.

JAX  True    BlueTM    will    raise    project    donations  through    fundraising    and    special    events,    including  a    golf    tournament    at    Sawgrass    Country    Club    in    October    2013.        Additionally,    they     will  solicit    donations    of    equipment    and    build    partnerships    with    Jacksonville    based     corporations   for   volunteer    manpower    to    assist    the    project    team    headed    by    the    Navy’s     Director    of    Morale,    Welfare    and    Recreation.       CSX    Corporation    has    already    committed    to     provide    personnel    to    clear    brush    from    the    trail    site    on    Saturday,    July    27.
