JACKSONVILLE, Fl. - (June 14, 2014) True Blue Navy Families Benefactors, Inc. (JAX True BlueTM) and Naval Station Mayport MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) have selected Prosser as the prime contractor to provide the architectural design for the Lake Wonderwood Project. The Prosser team includes Ellis & Associates, Inc , a leading engineering consulting firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL a leading engineering consulting firm headquartered in Jacksonvillea leading engineering consulting firm headquartered in Jacksonvilleand Clary & Associates, an established surveying & mapping firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. The Lake Wonderwood Project is a multi-phased project in the Naval Station Mayport Lake Wonderwood Preserve Recreational Area. Prosser will provide a design package for the development of a multi-use trail located around Lake Wonderwood. A combined JAX True BlueTM and MWR proposal committee selected three architectural design firms in Jacksonville to bid on this project. Each was supplied with the requirements for the project including a requisite to meet all Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility standards, and given a tour of Lake Wonderwood. Proposals were evaluated in detail against the design criteria provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Prosser was selected unanimously by the proposal committee and the JAX True BlueTM Board, and awarded the contract.
Prosser is a Jacksonville Florida based international consulting firm providing design; engineering and construction in land planning, site development and utilities engineering. They have been supporting commercial and non-profit clients for 30 years.

The services for this project will be led by two of Prosser’s partners. Shawn Bliss will provide overall project management and design leadership, while Ryan Stilwell will be the Engineer in Charge.

JAX True BlueTM funds the Lake Wonderwood Project through the solicitation of donations through fundraising and special events, including an annual golf tournament at Sawgrass Country Club. These funds are then gifted to MWR for use on this project.
